Parenting Courses
He Waka Tapu likes to work with other specialised agencies in regards to parenting. However Tane Keepa provides a parents supprt group, for further enquiries contact the office and ask for Tane.
Kanohi ki te kanohi
He Waka Tapu is able to offer a range of counselling services to individuals, couples and whanau covering a range of issues such as:
* Grief
* Relationship
* Sexual abuse
* Communication
* Wairuatanga - this is provided by our kaumatua
* Gambling issues
* Parenting looking at exploring parent child relationships
* Personal Health
We don't provide counselling for couples around violence unless they have completed a stopping violence programme.
Kaupapa
He Waka Tapu is a kaupapa Maaori service where we use an eclectic approach that utilises both Maaori and non Maaori modalities in order to provide a holistic service for all who access this service.
We prefer clients to referred through other agencies however they can approach us in person.
