As we placed our feet onto her deck, we were stepping into a living connection to our tīpuna, our history, and the vast moana that binds us all.

Guided by the kaupapa of Te Toki Voyaging & Wayfinding Trust - within the kōrero shared today we were reminded that Hinemoana carries the mana of the Pacific, the mātauranga of navigation, and the wairua of healing and reconnection.

We are deeply grateful to the Whaea Tonya for her manaakitanga, and we hope to utlise this hononga as a platform for mahi tahi in the future.

Hinemoana reminded us that healing isn’t always found in a room, it’s found in the wind, in the waves, in the stories, and in the connections we build along the way.
