CHRISTMAS WHĀNAU DAY 2025
19 / 12 / 2024
The sun was shining, the tunes were pumping, and the vibes were high at yesterday’s final Whānau Day of 2025. It was awesome to see so many of our whaiora and wider community come together to enjoy the day. From connecting with local services and suppliers, to sharing kai, getting fresh fades courtesy of the Blind Barber, and seeing all the smiling tamariki taking part in the many festivities, the day was filled with genuine fun and connection.

Final Whānau Day of 2025: A Celebration to Remember!
A big congratulations to the Guess the Grocery Hamper winners, who proudly collected their prizes on the day. Throughout the afternoon, we also gave away 400 free ice creams courtesy of King Kone, along with plenty of treats for everyone. Huge thanks to all who contributed to the kai, including our BBQ crew who served up an impressive 600 sausages and 200 patties.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to the many collaborators and kaimahi who helped make the event so special. From our MC, George Read, aka “The Host From the Coast,” and our DJ, Tylah Tyson, to the amazing Santa (Cam) and the kaimahi helpers who brought joy to so many tamariki, this was truly a collective effort. This event was made possible through funding from Hāpai Te Hauora, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to put this on for our hapori.
On behalf of all our kaimahi, management and leadership, and our partners, we wish you all a Meri Kirihimete me ngā mihi o te tau hou.
